Semivicoli Castle
Sitting among Abruzzo’s hills, Semivicoli Castle is a majestic building dating back to 17th and 18th-centuries. Strategically situated, the castle offers a breath-taking view over Majella mountain, up to the Adriatic Sea.
Once the heart of the old peasant village, the castle has become, over the years, a winery and a prestigious wedding venue.
The castle can host civil weddings in its premises, or catholic weddings as well, that can be celebrated inside the adjoining church.
Semivicoli Castle hosts a piano nobile (“noble floor”) with 11 rooms and 3 decorated suites, unique in their kind. It also hosts a shop where it is possible to purchase their locally produced wine.
Monastery of Fortezza di Santo Spirito
The monastery Fortezza Santo Spirito is an ancient medieval castle lying in an extraordinary natural landscape. It is located in Ocre, in the province of L’Aquila, and it was founded in 1222 as the first settlement of Cistercians monks of the area. The monastery appears today as a fortress that had been renovated over the years, with several stone rooms, 14th-century’s frescoes, and a loggia overlooking the surrounding areas. The ceremonies are celebrated outdoor, in a suggestive cloister located deep in the green of the panoramic terrace overlooking the valley, or inside the beautiful deconsecrated church.
The building offers several rooms which can be used for accommodating the wedding guests.
Santo Stefano di Sessanio – Sexantio
Santo Stefano di Sessanio is a fortified medieval village. It is located in the mountains of Abruzzo at 1.250 meters above sea level, inside the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. The village is a classic example of a medieval Italian hill town, with perimeter walls encircling houses and squares. During the last century, the “modernisation” of rural Italy compromised the architectural heritage of many of its countryside villages and towns. But Santo Stefano, like many other remote Mediterranean mountain villages, became deserted when its impoverished inhabitants left in search of work. Paradoxically, the abandonment saved the town from architectural abuse.
Villa Estea
An exclusive venue for a wedding in Abruzzo, located in Lago Dragoni, Torino di Sangro (Chieti). Villa Estea lies along the Trabocchi Coast, and overlooks the sea: an ancient building transformed into a luxury lodge, a perfect venue for weddings.
The breath-taking scenery combining nature and design conveys a sense of enchantment to the atmosphere. At last, an elegant terrace overlooking the sea stretch, and a swimming pool, will enhance the charm of the wedding ceremony.

The renovated farmhouse offers nine private rooms for the guests, all of them furnished in a rustic style, with old country furniture. Campoletizia farmhouse is the perfect venue for nature-lovers who have always dreamed of a country-style marriage, offering a wedding ceremony closely tied to peasant’s traditions, deep in the greenery landscape of Majella National Park.
